World Paper Bag Day Celebrated with Street Play and Market Outreach by Baroda High School, Alkapuri – Afternoon Shift

Vadodara, July 12, 2025:
To mark World Paper Bag Day, the SDG Club of Baroda High School, Alkapuri – Afternoon Shift organized a vibrant and meaningful celebration on July 12th that combined awareness, action, and community outreach.

The initiative saw active participation from students of Grades III to V, who enthusiastically collected used and reusable paper bags over the past week. These bags were then distributed at Khanderao Market to local vendors, encouraging the use of eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic.

The event’s highlight was a powerful street play performed by the students in the market area. The play creatively conveyed the environmental hazards of plastic pollution and urged citizens to adopt sustainable practices, especially the use of paper bags in daily life.
