Gujarat opener Urvil Patel made history by becoming the first cricketer to score two T20 centuries in under 40 balls. Patel smashed an unbeaten 115 off 41 balls against Uttarakhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, leading Gujarat to an eight-wicket win. This came just six days after his 28-ball century against Tripura, the fastest by an Indian in T20 cricket.

Despite his record-breaking feats, the 26-year-old, previously with Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023, went unsold in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
