The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced new guidelines for 2025 that will make studying in colleges more flexible and fun! Now, students can earn flexible degrees, take breaks, and even exit their courses early if needed without losing all their hard work.

One of the biggest changes is the Multiple Exit System. If students leave a course after one or two years, they will still get a certificate or diploma. No more losing credits if you need to pause your education! Also, a Credit Bank will be set up where students can save the credits they earn and use them later to complete their degrees.
Admissions for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs will happen twice a year, just like in many other countries. This means students won’t have to wait an entire year if they miss one admission cycle!
These changes aim to make education more student-friendly and help everyone follow their own learning journey.
