Surat Company Crafts Lab-Grown Diamond in the Shape of Donald Trump’s Face

A Surat-based company, Greenlab Diamonds, has crafted a unique 4.30-carat lab-grown diamond in the shape of US President Donald Trump’s face. The intricate creation took two months to complete, with the process involving growing, planning, cutting, and polishing the diamond. The diamond was made as a symbol of the strengthening India-US relations. This follows a previous gift by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Dr. Jill Biden, wife of President Joe Biden, during his visit to the US in 2024.
Smit Patel, the diamond industrialist behind the creation, explained that the diamond was produced entirely in a controlled lab environment, with the same quality and value as natural diamonds. The D-color diamond, known for its clarity and brilliance, took 60 days to craft, with 40 days dedicated to preparing the raw material. While the exact value is undisclosed, its rarity and detailed design suggest it is worth over 20 lakh. Greenlab Diamonds plans to gift the diamond to Donald Trump, with its hardness symbolizing the strength of the India-US bond.
