In a significant development for the Congress Party, Sonia Gandhi inaugurated its new headquarters, ‘Indira Bhawan,’ in Delhi on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, MP Rahul Gandhi, and several other key party leaders.
Named in tribute to the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the new headquarters is located at 9A, Kotla Road, and represents a historic milestone for the Congress Party, which has a legacy of over 139 years.
A party release highlighted that the new AICC headquarters symbolizes Congress’ continued commitment to the vision of its founding leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Patel. The headquarters is designed to meet the modern needs of the party, offering advanced facilities to support its administrative, organizational, and strategic functions.
