Schools in Delhi Gets Bomb Threat

On December 20, 2024, two schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails, prompting immediate evacuations and investigations. Delhi Public School (DPS) in Dwarka and Lotus Valley International School in Noida were the institutions targeted. Upon receiving the threats, both schools evacuated students and staff as a precautionary measure. Authorities, including police, fire departments, bomb detection teams, and dog squads, conducted thorough searches of the premises. No explosives were found, and the threats were determined to be hoaxes.
This incident is part of a troubling pattern of bomb threats targeting educational institutions in the Delhi-NCR region. Over the past two weeks, several schools have received similar threats, leading to evacuations and heightened security measures. For instance, on December 9, at least 40 schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails demanding $30,000, which were later identified as hoaxes.
Authorities are actively investigating these incidents to identify and apprehend those responsible. In the meantime, schools are implementing enhanced security protocols to ensure the safety of students and staff.
