Sadhguru Honoured as Global Indian of the Year in Canada

Spiritual teacher and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, has been honoured with the “Global Indian of the Year” award by the Canada India Foundation (CIF). The award ceremony took place in Toronto, Canada, and recognized Sadhguru’s remarkable global impact on spirituality, environmental awareness, and Indian heritage.

The Canada India Foundation, which works to strengthen relations between Canada and India, praised Sadhguru for inspiring millions around the world through his teachings, campaigns, and ecological efforts. He is best known for leading large-scale movements such as Rally for Rivers, Cauvery Calling, and Save Soil, which aim to protect India’s natural resources and promote sustainable living.

During his acceptance speech, Sadhguru emphasized the importance of working together as one global community to ensure environmental balance and inner well-being. He highlighted how individual action can lead to collective change, especially when it comes to saving soil, water, and natural ecosystems.
