On May 11, 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated the BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow.He emphasized that the BrahMos missile symbolizes India’s precision, power, and progress in defense technology.Singh shared a video of the missile on social media, stating, “BrahMos is in itself a message.”

The BrahMos missile, developed jointly by India and Russia, is renowned for its speed and accuracy, boasting a 100% success rate in over 100 tests.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, present at the event, highlighted the state’s growing role in defense manufacturing.He remarked, “If anyone has not seen the power of BrahMos, they must ask Pakistan,” underscoring the missile’s strategic significance.
The new facility is expected to generate approximately 500 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs, contributing to local employment and industry.Production of BrahMos missiles in Lucknow is slated to commence by 2026, aligning with India’s push for self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
