On August 18, 2025, the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PVBRY) portal was launched, marking a major step toward employment generation in India. Announced by the Prime Minister during his 12th Independence Day address, the scheme received Union Cabinet approval on July 1, 2025, under the umbrella of the new Employment-Linked Incentive Scheme.

With an ambitious outlay of ₹99,446 crore—approximately ₹1 lakh crore—the scheme aims to incentivize the creation of over 3.5 crore jobs between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027.
Incentives for Employees and Employers
Employees: First-time youth recruits receive up to ₹15,000 in two instalments, delivered via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System. Beyond financial relief, the initiative also offers formal job contracts, on-the-job training, enhanced employability, and financial literacy to build sustainable careers.
Employers: For each new hire, employers will receive up to ₹3,000 per month, easing the cost of expanding their workforce. Support also extends toward improving job stability, productivity, and social security coverage.
Implementation Details
The scheme runs under the purview of the Ministry of Labour & Employment, implemented through the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). Employers can register via the official portals (pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in or pmvbry.labour.gov.in), while first-time employees must generate a Universal Account Number (UAN) through face authentication on the UMANG app.
