PM Modi embarks on lion safari at Gir National Park on World Wildlife Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated World Wildlife Day by visiting Gir National Park in Gujarat, home to the last population of Asiatic lions. During his visit, he inaugurated a new veterinary hospital aimed at providing critical care for these lions and chaired a meeting of the National Board for Wildlife to discuss national conservation efforts. The Gujarat government has implemented various initiatives to protect these majestic creatures, including the establishment of a National Referral Center for Wildlife and a high-tech wildlife monitoring center in Sasan.
