New Balvatika Fun Carnival Set to Open at Kankaria Lakefront, Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad’s Kankaria Lakefront is set to unveil the revamped Balvatika Fun Carnival on April 15, 2025. This redevelopment introduces 28 diverse attractions, including a Wax Museum, Glass Tunnel, Dinosaur Park, Snow Park, and Virtual Reality Zone, aiming to enhance the recreational experience for visitors of all ages.
The Balvatika, a cherished children’s park within the Kankaria campus, has been a longstanding favorite among families. Its transformation aligns with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) initiative to develop entertainment zones across the city, reflecting a commitment to providing modern and engaging public spaces.
Situated near Kankaria Lake and the zoo, the new Balvatika offers a variety of play activities and rides, complemented by scenic views of the lake. This enhancement is anticipated to attract both locals and tourists, contributing to Ahmedabad’s vibrant cultural and recreational landscape.
Visitors can access the Balvatika through Gate No. 5 of Kankaria Lakefront. The park’s operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with nominal entry fees: ₹3 for adults and ₹2 for children aged 3-12 years. Educational groups benefit from a concessional rate of ₹1 per child.
