Job Overview:
We are looking for dynamic and organized School Coordinators to promote and manage our children’s newspaper and magazine in schools. The ideal candidates will have a passion for children’s education and media, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with school administrators, teachers, and parents. School Coordinators will play a key role in expanding our readership and engaging young minds through our educational and entertaining content.
Key Responsibilities:
School Outreach and Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with school administrators, teachers, and parent-teacher associations.
- Present the children’s newspaper and magazine to schools, highlighting its educational value and benefits.
- Organize and conduct informational sessions, workshops, and presentations at schools.
Subscription Management:
- Promote and manage subscriptions to the newspaper and magazine within schools.
- Coordinate with the subscription team to ensure timely delivery and distribution of publications.
- Handle inquiries and provide customer support to schools regarding subscriptions and content.
Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute school events and activities such as reading clubs, contests, and interactive sessions.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to organize visits from writers, illustrators, and guest speakers.
- Assist in organizing and promoting special issues or editions tailored for school activities..
Feedback and Engagement:
- Gather feedback from teachers, students, and parents to improve content and engagement strategies.
- Encourage and manage student contributions such as articles, artwork, and letters to the editor.
- Develop initiatives to increase student participation and readership.
Content Promotion:
- Distribute promotional materials and newsletters to schools.
- Utilize social media and digital platforms to engage with the school community.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement school-focused marketing campaigns.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of school contacts, subscriptions, and event participation.
- Prepare reports on outreach activities, subscription rates, and feedback.
- Assist with budgeting and resource allocation for school-related initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-3 years experience in educational outreach, school administration, or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with children’s media and publications is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
