IIM Ahmedabad Goes Global: Dubai Campus Launching in September 2025

IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA), one of India’s most respected management institutes, is expanding globally for the first time. Starting in September 2025, IIMA will launch its new campus in Dubai, offering a full-time one-year MBA programme. This step marks a major milestone for Indian education on the global stage.
The announcement comes after IIMA signed an agreement with the UAE Government’s Department of Economy and Tourism. The partnership was supported by top leaders from both countries, including Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan and India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.
The campus will begin operations at Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), a hub for international education. A permanent campus is planned for 2029.
The one-year MBA course is specially designed for working professionals and entrepreneurs. It will include five terms and use IIMA’s famous case study method for learning. This makes the course interactive, practical, and close to real-world business situations.
To apply, candidates must submit GMAT or GRE scores (from the past five years). Those shortlisted will be invited for interviews. Other factors like work experience and academic background will also be considered during the selection process.
This move is part of IIMA’s plan to build a strong global presence and serve the large Indian diaspora and global business community in the Middle East. It also opens new learning opportunities for students in the region without the need to travel to India.
With this launch, IIM Ahmedabad joins the ranks of top global B-schools expanding overseas—bringing Indian excellence to an international audience.
