Gujarat on High Alert Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

In response to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Gujarat has implemented stringent security protocols. Rajkot International Airport has been closed for three days, while operations at Bhuj, Keshod, Kandla, and Jamnagar airports have been suspended to enhance security near sensitive areas.

Ahmedabad Airport has canceled all outbound flights to Bhuj, Jamnagar, and Rajkot, significantly impacting regional air traffic.

National carriers, including Air India, have canceled flights to and from several cities, such as Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot, until May 10.

Enhanced Ground and Coastal Security

Security forces have intensified checks in border areas, and the SOG Marine Police, along with Marine Task Force Commandos, have increased boat patrols along Jamnagar’s coastal belt.

Ahmedabad Airport has issued an urgent advisory, warning passengers of potential flight delays and cancellations. Travelers are urged to verify flight statuses before heading to the airport.
