In a significant move to improve infrastructure, Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has sanctioned a ₹800 crore project to widen the Shantipura-Khoraj stretch of the Ahmedabad-Viramgam-Maliya road into six lanes. This development is expected to bolster connectivity to the Sanand industrial hub, facilitating better access for businesses and encouraging further investments in the region.

Additionally, the Chief Minister approved ₹247.35 crore for various road development projects across the state. These include the construction of underpasses on the Bhuj-Bhachau highway and the Vataman-Pipli road, aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving safety.

The Gujarat State Road Development Corporation (GSRDC) is overseeing these projects, which collectively span 188.9 km and involve an investment of ₹2,999.8 crore. Key initiatives under this plan include the development of a six-lane elevated corridor on the Bharuch-Dahej road and the modernization of the Kim-Mandvi road.

These infrastructure enhancements are part of the state’s broader strategy to improve transportation networks, support industrial growth, and ensure smoother vehicular movement across Gujarat.
