Govt Schools in Gujarat almost on par with private ones: Gujarat High Court

The Gujarat High Court recently observed that steps taken by the state authorities in improving school infrastructure are not only satisfactory, but also almost on par with private institutions. The division bench of Chief Justice Aravind Kumar and Justice AJ Shastri expressed satisfaction with the state’s actions and stated that the court’s apprehension now “stands allayed”. The court had taken suo motu cognisance of a news article about the collapse of a school building at Vagalvada village in Chhota Udepur district, that led to students attending classes at home.
