To Bholu With Love

To Bholu With Love

One sunny morning, Bholu was riding in the woods. He saw a stream. It was hot and Bholu was Thirsty. He stopped to drink water. Bholu saw a monkey too, drinking water from there. ‘He looks friendly’, thought Bholu. Only then Bholu saw the snake, with its hood up and spread, about to strike the monkey from behind. Bholu, at once, whirled around, grabbed a nearby stick and flung it at the snake, at wink’s pace. Hit on the hood the snake slithered away. “Yipee, there you’re,” shouted Bholu in joy. The monkey regarded Jack with gratification.

“My name is Tikam. Thank you so much for saving my life, I’ll reward you for this. Please come with me,” invited Tikam.

Bholu accompanied Tikam deep into the forest. Finally they came to an old cave. “This cave belongs to my ancestors,” indicated Tikam. “Let’s go inside the cave”, said Tikam. “Oh sure,” agreed Bholu, rather curiously. ‘This cave looks spooky. I wonder where my friend, Tikam is taking me,’ thought Bholu.

Tikam suddenly stopped and whispered, “Let’s dig here.” Bholu began digging. Soon, they hit upon something hard. “What’s this”, exclaimed Bholu, in astonishment. It was an old trunk. Tikam opened the trunk. “Wow!” Bholu Wondered.

The trunk was full of gold and many other valuables. “It’s all for you, my friend. You saved my life. Nothing is more valuable than that. For heaven’s sake don’t break my heart by refusing. Kindly accept,” said Tikam. “When one’s in trouble, it’s the duty of the others to help out. I did just that. Since you compel me, I take it. Anyway, with your friendship to me you’ve doubted the treasure!” said Bholu.
