In 1984, Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath opened a small 200 sq. ft. ice cream shop in Juhu, Mumbai. He chose this location because many famous Bollywood stars, like Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan, lived nearby. Kamath believed that their presence would attract more people to his shop.

Kamath’s idea was simple: make ice creams using real fruits, milk, and sugar, without any artificial flavors. His first menu had 12 unique flavors, including sitaphal (custard apple), tender coconut, jackfruit, muskmelon, and kala jamun. These natural flavors quickly became popular among customers.
Over time, Naturals Ice Cream grew from that single shop to a brand with over 165 outlets across 15 states in India. The company now offers more than 20 flavors at any given time, including special ones like gajar halwa and tilgul. Their Tender Coconut flavor even gained international recognition.
Kamath’s success story shows how passion and dedication can turn a small idea into a big achievement. He passed away in 2024 at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy that continues to delight ice cream lovers across the country.
