A notice has been issued to Adarsh Hindi Vidyalaya after a Class 10 female student filed a complaint with the District Education Officer (DEO) through the ‘Sarthi Helpline’. The student reported that the school charged ₹800 as a board examination fee, despite the fact that the board does not impose such fees on female students or those with disabilities.
Upon receiving the complaint, the DEO launched an investigation and confirmed that the fee collection was unauthorized. The school has been ordered to refund the ₹800 to the student and submit proof of the refund to the DEO’s office for review.
The DEO condemned the practice, calling it a violation of established guidelines and directed the school to avoid such actions in the future. Authorities have urged other students and parents to report any similar incidents through the ‘Sarthi Helpline’, ensuring strict adherence to educational policies.
