The marriage comes at a high point in Sindhu’s career. Recently, she ended a two-year drought on the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour by clinching the Syed Modi India International title in Lucknow. Sindhu defeated China’s Wu Luo Yu in the final in straight games, 21-14, 21-16, in a match lasting 47 minutes. This marked her first BWF World Tour victory since her triumph at the Singapore Open, a BWF Super 500 tournament, in July 2022. Despite reaching the finals of the Spain Masters and Malaysia Masters in 2023 and 2024, she had been unable to secure a title until now.

Sindhu’s career achievements are extraordinary. She is one of only two women in history, alongside China’s Zhang Ning, to win five medals at the BWF World Championships. At the Rio 2016 Olympics, she became the first Indian badminton player to reach an Olympic final, winning a silver medal after a thrilling match against Spain’s Carolina Marin. She followed it up with a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, further solidifying her legacy as one of India’s greatest athletes.

As Sindhu transitions into a new chapter of her personal life, fans and the sporting community alike celebrate her achievements and wish her happiness in the years to come.
