Japan has launched its e-Visa program via Japan Visa Application Centers managed by VFS Global, including for Indian tourists. This initiative streamlines the visa application process, offering convenience and accessibility. The single-entry visa permits a stay of up to 90 days in Japan, catering to air travelers with ordinary passports, with effect from April 1. The introduction of e-visas marks a significant step towards facilitating tourism between Japan and India, enhancing bilateral ties, and fostering cultural exchange. This move is expected to boost tourist arrivals from India, allowing visitors to explore Japan’s rich cultural heritage, picturesque landscapes, and modern attractions with greater ease and efficiency.
