The core purpose of education is to provide children with a learning environment which brings out the best in them. We believe that every child is endowed with a unique set of attributes and abilities, which need to be nurtured so that they blossom. Therefore, every child deserves an education that fosters academic excellence and all-round development and ensures their well-being. We are inspired by these tenets in everything that we do at Dholakiya International School.
We provide a learning environment that inspires, motivates, and encourages them to explore limitless possibilities in their quest for knowledge. Since inception, our overarching goal has been to make our schools a happy school, where teaching is a pleasure and learning is a joy; where learning and excelling is a passion, and culture and values have a pre-eminent place.
We are the youngest fledgling in the chain of Dholakiya Schools dotting different parts of Gujarat. Dholakiya International School is situated in a sprawling lush green vibrant campus spread over 5 acres. The school aspires to develop a strong value-based education model that helps establish a strong foundation and orientation for learning. This spirit of discovery is driven by the willingness to take healthy risks. Both socially and intellectually is what makes the education at our school transformative and sometimes challenging. Our students graduate as articulate. expressive and confident boys & girls, not afraid to voice their opinions, while respecting the sentiments of others and appreciating multiple perspectives and views.
- At Dholakiya International School, life and learning are always intimately connected. We aim for holistic development of children that will cultivate academics. A holistic approach to teaching and learning is important for the physical, emotional, intellectual creative, spiritual and social well-being of children, and to develop them as well-rounded individuals. At DAIS, we lay emphasis on experiential and exploratory methods of learning, well beyond the classroom, as well as espouse the appreciation and practice of our school’s values and attributes.
We constantly ensure that holistic approaches to teaching and learning are achieved in multiple ways -ongoing review of curricula, introduction of new subjects, the breadth of sports and co-curricular activities, and the regular upgrading of infrastructural facilities

Continuous Professional Development and Learning
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think” – Albert Einstein.
At School, we emphasis on:
Planned process.
Clear picture for scope of improvement
Training is tailored individually to each professional.
Trainers are the ones who have the necessary expertise, experience, and skills.
Curriculum Model
The DHOLAKIYA SCHOOL’S Curriculum Model represents the school’s commitment to optimize teaching and learning and facilitate children’s holistic development and well-being. Through a curriculum that is stimulating and creative, and an environment that is safe and child-centered, we enable the learner to explore multiple dimensions of excellence, encompassing intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
The school’s guiding statements underpin the facts that cherishing one’s own culture and respecting that of others, as well as values-based learning, are pivotal to holistic education. The educational programs at the school focus on inculcating in the learner five key attributes: creativity and innovation, collaboration, leadership, global citizenship, and life-long learning.
The academic session is divided into two terms:
I Term: April to September
II Term: October to March
Each child is assessed in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas. For the assessment of the scholastic areas, each term will have two formative assessments (FA) and one summative assessment (SA).
The students are also assessed for literary and creative skills, scientific skills, information and communication technology and organizational and leadership skills. In addition, the students also participate in various health and physical activities and are assessed by the teachers accordingly.
Planning of co-scholastic activities carried out in the beginning of the academic year so that as per the schedule, each child gets to learn and improve his / her skills in non-academic domains. Each month a planner, specifying activities / attitude and values / skills to be honed is circulated by the school.
CBSE Board has instructed to allot periods for co-scholastic areas while preparing. Curriculum framework. Weekly one period is allotted for work education, art education, co-curricular activities, health, and physical education.
Assessment of co scholastic activity in our school is done systematically and methodologically which includes:
- Identifying qualities through SWOT analysis
- Specifying behaviors/ indicators of the concerned area/ skills.
- Collection of evidence related to the concerned behavior / indicator through observation
and other techniques. - Recording of the evidence.
- Analysis of the recorded evidence.
- Finally reporting and awarding grades.
Transaction of content / topic from curriculum using ASK (Attitude, Skill & Knowledge) model
Educator’s role is to identify these aspects and direct their curriculum toward them. ASK, as an educational model, aims to identify them by decomposing design education discipline into manageable elements that reflect the main ingredients. The proposed ingredients are professional attitude, design skills, and professional design knowledge. The main contribution of ASK is the ability to view this domain form a new perspective that can reflect the expectations of the professional development of the children. At Dholakiya Int School, we give the children enough opportunities to do the same. The expression of the knowledge of the children is allowed in any of the forms that they feel is suitable for them.
In addition, we set short-term and long-term objectives while implementing a structured learning plan at the beginning of the year.
Records are maintained for what they are learning and the progress they make to keep track of the skills and knowledge students obtain.
This helps our learners to stay up to date with the latest trends and learn new skills; improve their performance in school; Boost teacher’s self-confidence; Enhance their professional reputation. Obtain concrete proof of their professionalism and commitment.
Use of different methods (Tools & Techniques) for engaging learners.
“Tell me, and I will listen; Teach me, and I’ll remember; Involve me, and I will learn.” The saying says it all and we imply it here at DIS making every instructor engage the students and produce more meaningful and deep learning experiences by either teaching something practically or by showing it through visual clips or documentaries and videos.
Each Child is a different individual and there are different teaching methods, many individuals also believe there are different ways to learn and understand new information which we cater to.
Computer Labs, Library and showing live experiments to students, at DIS we make sure that the concept which is the base to anything is understood by the student. Their doubts are cleared and we emphasis more on practically involving the student by making him/her experience the entire way of learning.
Not only one method is taught to the student, but different ways are shown so that the child is clear with the concept for which we use different methods.
During this Pandemic, the teachers switched to Online Mode in which they practically did the experiments for the students just like how it is shown in during the Offline Mode in a Class. Blackboard was used so that the student could well understand what the teacher was trying to explain. The students were also asked to do their projects and display them, which was again another method of making them learn.
Not only did we adapt the learning method for our Academics, but we also had our sports activities like Yoga online when it came to Physical Learning, where different Asanas were taught to students and this way they were totally involved in their Sports Activity as well.
It is our Prime vision to make the child aware of every step that he is taking towards learning, be it either through Tools or Techniques, understanding how your student learns is perhaps one of the most important parts of Teaching.
Use of Technology (including different Apps) is integral to curriculum transactions.
“We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.” Technology, when integrated into the curriculum, revolutionizes the learning process. More and more studies show that technology integration in the curriculum improves students’ learning processes and outcomes.
In this Pandemic time, Technology has been the only source through which Education could continue the way it has to. We relied totally on Technology to communicate, teach, and connect with our students.
We conducted Online Classes for our students and took every effort to make sure they were taught in the right manner. The Teachers practically did all the concepts and taught on the Black Board. The students in turn co-operated and once their work was completed, they displayed it on the screen. From Projects to Homework was all done Online through Technology.
We have our own ERP Application that is designed for our school, where the student can have his entire profile and he/she is able to connect to live lectures. Their Study Material, Exam Papers, PDF’s, Homework, and the Day-to-Day Online Timetable are all shown there. This makes it easy for the student to stay connected with the institute when it is functioning online.
A computer is indeed an important part of our lives now. Some of the Activities that we did so far are Precoding, Gif imaging, Software and the Coding Programming which made it easier for students to learn and understand.
Not only do we have our App, but our Facebook Page and Instagram page is active daily with uploads of all events, days to celebrate, inputs from students and many other activities that are taking place at the school premise.
We do not realize it, but Technology often gives the quietest student a voice.
Open learning pedagogy over structure approach.
Open Pedagogy is the practice of engaging with students as creators of information rather than simply consumers of it. It is a form of experiential learning in which students demonstrate understanding through the act of creation.
The interaction between the teachers, students, and the learning environment and the learning tasks is what we are mastering at Dholakiya Schools.
Our students are experiencing an online pedagogy where the Teacher uses technology to enhance the course content. By utilizing the positive aspects of technology, the online teacher is providing a Quality Educational Learning Experience.
An effective online pedagogy is one that emphasizes student-centered learning and employs active learning activities. Since we are all going through this Pandemic, atwe have found ways to vary the learning experiences by having successful discussions and have also done some activities for our students.
Providing Personal Feedback and asking the Parents and Students for their feedback always helps us to excel more and improvise.
Our Students and Teachers produce one of the most powerful examples of Pedagogical Learning where they work and learn together. The teacher becomes more of a mentor or coach helping students achieve the learning goal.
With Daily interaction online and arranging different workshops with the parents, the bond between the Teachers, Students and the Parent has grown stronger and has made it flow easier.
Use of exploratory / research methods by students and teachers.
At DIS, we have synced in the minds of our students that have to find their own path and be a self-explanatory figure.
As we all know that in exploratory instruction you teach by planting questions, like seeds, that encourage students to investigate their own approaches to learning the material. The students create their own paths, instead of following yours.
The Teacher here gives the chance to the students to be her mentors and allows them to explain their thought process and has a less involvement in the concept where the students are the Mentors.
Our students were asked to do a lot of projects even in these times of Online Education such as Experiments, Practical Assignments and Videos where they explained and gave their best as per the required information that they explored.
Even during the online celebrations, they were the Hosts, and they handled the entire show very well that was online.
If a child has a special talent or wants to share something, then we are always welcoming such talent here. Giving the child confidence that he/she can soar high is our goal
Variety of opportunities are given at school level.
Education is not just about going to school and getting a degree.
It is about widening your knowledge and absorbing the truth about life.
A child steps in the school to connect them to social and emotional learning skills. But if a student enters the schoolhouse without a sense of positive purpose, it is difficult for them to connect their varied learning experiences and other opportunities into a coherent whole that shapes their lives. Without a purpose, they may lack a strong reason to learn, to take on challenges, or to behave well. We at Dholakiya International School Gondal, aim to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access. We encourage students to recognize their feelings and use them as a guide to their actions. They find their special task—what it is that allows them to excel. They recognize their achievements and those of others, both large and small, as they contribute to a positive purpose.
The school is termed as a society of learners. To enhance the overall development of students, we promote co-scholastic activities for meeting the students’ necessities by covering a wide range of their talents as well as capabilities. These activities raise interests in the students and give a wide range of opportunities to every student for participating and exceling.
These activities develop students’ learning experience, help them recognize and grow their inner talents like leadership qualities, creative skills, decision making, critical thinking and analyzing. We provide students an opportunity of thinking extraordinarily as well as differently and getting the innovative and creative ideas of their own.
Implementation of learning blended with art in learning strategies encourages our learners to try new ideas, collaborate, build confidence, problem-solve, and communicate. It helps to place high value on reflective activity, social, emotional, and intellectual engagement as well as developing creativity skills
These opportunities at our school proved beneficial for marginalized learners to promote them to develop self- direction, self-esteem, and self-expressions. New ideas and approach-based learning has provided a variety of opportunities to our learners to explore more.
Glimpses of their experiences are follows:
In the Online classroom, students present their work by way of presentations, role plays, small skits, and impromptu debates. The students have many out-of-classroom activities and experiences such as theatre, photography, dance, music, robotics, football, cricket, tennis, basketball, and many more. Community service encourages children to understand the challenges faced by the less privileged and sensitizes them to the importance of being compassionate.
The school has recently introduced new subjects such as Coding and Theatre Arts, re-developed the playground into a football field, and completely renovated the E learning experience for the learners.
At Dholakiya Schools, we lay emphasis on experiential and exploratory methods of learning, well beyond the classroom, as well as espouse the appreciation and practice of our school’s values and attributes. Activity based; experiential learning is facilitated across all classes. Every student participates and contributes to the class.
Curriculum Presentation in every term; students are encouraged to think laterally and link the topics from their taught curriculum with the help of Hands-on learning experience.
