The fate of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral properties in Bhopal, valued at ₹15,000 crore, remains uncertain as the family missed the 30-day deadline set by the MP High Court to appeal a 2014 government notice labeling the estate as ‘enemy property.’ The properties, sprawling across prime areas of Bhopal, could now be taken over by the district administration.
The Pataudi family, including Saif and his mother, Sharmila Tagore, still has the option to escalate the case to a division bench of the MP High Court. Meanwhile, the Bhopal district administration is consulting legal experts to determine the next steps. These properties have been a subject of legal contention since 2014, with the government asserting its rights over the estate under enemy property laws.
