5 Dead, 37 Injured as Chemical-Laden Truck Catches Fire Near Jaipur Petrol Pump

A devastating fire erupted on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway near Bhankrota after an LPG tanker collided with a chemical-laden truck, igniting a chain reaction that involved multiple vehicles near a petrol pump. The blaze claimed at least five lives and injured nearly 37 people, with 24 of them requiring urgent medical attention at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital.

The fire quickly spread to nearby vehicles and the petrol pump, with approximately 40 vehicles engulfed in flames. Visuals from the scene showed massive infernos as 20 fire tenders battled to bring the fire under control. As of the latest reports, most of the flames have been extinguished, with relief efforts ongoing.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the hospital, ensuring the injured receive the best possible care. Jaipur District Magistrate Jitendra Soni confirmed the extent of the damages and injuries, attributing the disaster to the sequential collisions. Emergency services continue to manage the aftermath of this tragic incident.
