Israel-Iran Conflict May Raise Prices of Soap, Oil, and Biscuits

The ongoing tension between Israel and Iran could lead to higher prices of daily-use products like soap, oil, and biscuits. Big companies in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector say that the cost of raw materials used to make these products may increase.

This is because many important ingredients, especially oil and chemicals used in soaps and food, are imported from countries in the Middle East. If the war causes problems in supply or transport, these raw materials will become expensive.
Also, shipping goods through the Red Sea and nearby regions may get delayed or cost more. This will affect how companies produce and deliver items in India.
If the situation does not improve, customers may have to pay more for common products. Companies are trying to manage costs, but long-term conflict may force them to raise prices.
