Pawandeep Rajan, who gained national fame as the winner of Indian Idol 12, was seriously injured in a car accident on May 5, 2025. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on National Highway 9 near Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh, when his MG Hector collided with a stationary Eicher Canter. Initial reports suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep, causing the vehicle to lose control.
Rajan, along with two other individuals, suffered significant injuries. He was first admitted to a private hospital in Amroha for preliminary treatment and later transferred to a hospital in Noida for specialized care.
