Madhavpur Ghed Fair 2025 to Feature Beach Sports Festival

The Madhavpur Ghed Fair, an annual event celebrating the union of Lord Krishna and Rukmini, is scheduled from April 6 to 10, 2025, in Madhavpur, Porbandar district, Gujarat. This year, the fair will introduce a Beach Sports Festival at Madhavpur Beach, featuring activities such as beach volleyball, beach football, 100-meter beach runs, coconut throwing, and beach handball. These events aim to promote sportsmanship and community engagement among attendees. In addition to the sports festival, the fair will host cultural programs across multiple cities, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Somnath, and Dwarka, showcasing performances by over 625 artists from northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura.
The Madhavpur Ghed Fair embodies the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, fostering cultural unity between Gujarat and the northeastern regions of India.
