Steve Smith Retires from One-Day Cricket

Australian cricket star Steve Smith has decided to retire from One-Day Internationals (ODIs). He made this announcement just before Australia’s upcoming series against New Zealand. Smith, known for his excellent batting and leadership, played a key role in helping Australia win the ODI World Cup in 2015 and 2023.
He has scored over 5,300 runs in ODIs and has been a key player for the team. Even though he is stepping away from this format, he will continue to play Test and T20 cricket. Smith said he felt it was the right time to move on and give younger players a chance.
