Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel laid the foundation for the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) near Gandhinagar’s GIFT City, with its formal launch set for February 21 by PM Narendra Modi in Delhi. SOUL aims to train aspiring youth in political, social, and public policy leadership, addressing governance challenges and empowering future leaders.

The institute, spanning 22 acres, will be built at a cost of ₹150 crore and is expected to be completed within two years. Sudhir Mehta, Chairman Emeritus of Torrent Group, will head the Board of Governors, while former finance secretary Hasmukh Adhia will chair the Executive Committee. Located next to Gujarat Biotechnology University, SOUL is envisioned as a premier institute fostering leadership excellence and governance innovation in India.
