Smriti Mandhana made history by becoming the first women’s cricketer to score four ODI centuries in a calendar year, with a stunning 105-run knock against Australia in the third ODI at Perth’s W.A.C.A. Ground. Despite her brilliant effort, India lost the match by 83 runs, succumbing to an 83-run defeat after a late collapse. Mandhana’s century was the standout performance in India’s chase of 299, but she lacked support from the other end.

Mandhana’s 105 off 109 balls included 14 fours and a six, and her ninth ODI century moved her closer to Meg Lanning’s record of 15 ODI tons. Mandhana is now just six centuries behind Lanning’s all-time record.
