Share

The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua, will now be released in theaters on October 3, 2025, instead of its original date in April. The film will explore the life of the legendary pop star and feature his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the lead role. The star-studded cast also includes Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo. Fuqua, who was deeply inspired by Jackson, has aimed to showcase both his incredible artistry and humanity. Michael will highlight 30 iconic Jackson songs and promise an immersive viewing experience. Lionsgate has scheduled it as one of their major releases, alongside Good Fortune, a comedy directed by and starring Aziz Ansari. With Ansari’s cast including Seth Rogen, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh, both films are set to make a memorable season for Lionsgate in the fall of 2025.
