Russia to Discharge Indian Recruits from the Army

Russia has agreed to repatriate all Indian nationals who were serving in its army during the ongoing Ukraine conflict, following discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The decision comes amid rising concerns that some Indians were misled into joining the Russian military through fraudulent job offers. These deceptive schemes have put several Indian citizens in dangerous combat zones without their full understanding of the risks involved.
Reports indicate that four Indians tragically lost their lives in the conflict, while 10 others have successfully returned to India. The agreement to send back the remaining Indian soldiers highlights both countries’ commitment to resolving the issue diplomatically and ensuring the safety of their citizens.
